I have always only known the first verse of this…literally ROTFL when my friend introduced me to the 2nd and 3rd verse.

客人啊, 喝完茶,

爸爸啊, 六点啦,

Hahahaha…the only line that stuck in my head was the ke ren bao zha bit! 😉

Ebony and ivory

Chanced upon some old and forgotten piano sheet music when I was home and was happily tickling the ivories, although the fingers needed some time before they regained some spring in them! 😉

I remember that when I was about 10 years old, I was playing with an old red toy piano we had when we were kids, and somehow managed to churn out a tune or two by ear.  Mum then realized that her daughter wasn’t tone deaf, and it was then that I started having formal piano lessons in the neighbourhood, and the start of my love affair with the instrument.  We did not have the luxury of having a piano at home then and we had to walk to the teacher’s place to practise, a few times a week.  So Mum made a pact with us — if my sister and I could both learn to play a piece of her choice without any mistakes, she would buy us a piano!  Needless to say, we did 😉 .

Love this piece — not all sheet music can channel the expression and feeling of a song so beautifully, and this was one of the ones that I particularly like.  Funny thing is, during the entire week, the jukebox CD playing in my car set on random mode kept playing this song, sometimes even 3 times in one journey! Maybe it’s time to make a new compilation…

Table tennis idiot.

Was watching some high school kids at a table tennis tournament and I broke into a smile remembering how I ended up in a table tennis competition myself.  It was back during varsity days when we had inter-faculty games, and for some reason or another, our faculty needed a pair for the girl’s game minutes before the match was due to start.  And so, Lish and I were “cajoled” into representing our faculty on the spot despite wails from us that we had never played before in our lives!  Needless to say, we lost, but the most embarrassing part of it was that we were so bad that our opponents actually had to stop and teach us how to play! 😛

Well years later, I’m still a table tennis idiot, I wonder if Lish has mastered the game? 😉

By special request…ahem!

Enjoy!!! 😉
